OUR STORY
VSBA -Victoria Street Business Association was founded in May 2015 as a not-for-profit business association. Previously known as RABA (Richmond Asian Business Association) VSBA is representing over 300 Victoria street traders and they work with the City of Yarra Council, as well as the State and Federal government to assist residents and stakeholders for insights, networks, policy advocacy, services and facilities for over 20 years.
The eastern stretch of Victoria Street (between Hoddle and Burnley St) is known colloquially as 'Little Saigon' or 'Little Vietnam'. This is due to the influx of migrants to the surrounding area following the Vietnam War and the subsequent development of Vietnamese businesses during the 1980s. This stretch of Victoria Street has become famous as an Asian grocery and restaurant precinct with Japanese, Korean and Thai options alongside the longer-standing Vietnamese establishments.
