Home to the Lunar Festival - Victoria Street Invites You to Celebrate the Year of the Dragon!

The Victoria Street Business Association Inc - VSBA is excited to announce that the annual Lunar Festival will once again be held on the vibrant and bustling Victoria Street in Richmond. This year, we welcome you to join us as we celebrate the Year of the Dragon with a colorful and lively festival.

The festival will take place on the strip of Victoria Street, between Hoddle and Church St. The street will be transformed into a lively and festive atmosphere, with an array of street food stalls, multicultural performances and entertainment, children's activities, and of course, the iconic lion dancing and firecrackers.

"The Lunar Festival is a celebration of the traditional Asian and Vietnamese New Year that has been embraced by the diverse community of Victoria Street. It is a time to come together, share in the festivities, and appreciate the cultural diversity that makes our neighbourhood so unique." Said Ha Nguyen VSBA president.

This year's festival promises to be bigger and better than ever before. You can expect to see an amazing display of traditional customs and cultural performances, as well as a modern twist with contemporary music and dance acts.

This festival is also a great opportunity for children to learn about different cultures and traditions through fun activities and performances. It's a family-friendly event that promotes inclusivity and diversity.

We are also excited to bring back the iconic lion dancing and firecrackers, which symbolise good luck, fortune, and warding off evil spirits according to traditional Chinese beliefs.
